BURNT OUT IN BISCUIT LAND
While the world outside is in chaos, three neurodiverse inhabitants of an apocalyptic bunker are doing their best to survive.
Blending film, live performance and conversation, Touretteshero’s funny, surreal and moving show explores resistance and joy in the face of a crisis. This is the follow up to Touretteshero’s smash-hit productions ‘Backstage in Biscuit Land’ and ‘Not I’ by Samuel Beckett, featuring writer, artist, and activist Jess Thom.
"Funny, utterly joyous, artful and political too.” Lyn Gardner, The Guardian Review of Touretteshero’s Brewing in the Basement
"Cathartic, inclusive and political” Natasha Tripney, The Stage Review of Touretteshero’s Not I by Samuel Beckett
The event includes a new performance by Tivoli, 'Stop Relying on that Body', a show that brings together music, movement and comedy to tell the story of two personas inhabiting one very wonky body, all while challenging traditional notions of drag performances.
Total running time for both shows approximately 110 minutes
Age: 14+ The show contains strong language and adult themes
'Jess was fantastic at creating a space for conversation and for people to explore ideas. She fielded questions fantastically, listened to everyone's answers and gave them ideas to think on.' - audience member
