PARTICIPATE
by Geoffrey Chambers
Participate is a day made up of challenged and weighted social experiment events arranged to highlight privilege, social disadvantage, race and ableism. Taking the form of a country or village fayre, the events planned, whilst familiar, will chime with the message of Black History Month that coincides with Margate now.
Participate takes as its inspiration the $100 race and Jane Elliott's Blue eye/Brown eye experiment.
Particpate is a live event happening during Margate Festival between Sept 25 to October 11. Date of this event is now confirmed as 10 October. To book your place, go here to "Check Your Privilege" http://margatefestival.org/event/participate-the-diversity-fayre/
