WHO CAN GET A MENTOR?
Any PACT member can be a mentee and ask another PACT member to be their mentor.
WHO CAN BE A MENTOR?
Any PACT member can be a mentor. If you’d like to be a mentee please consider giving as much as you take and become a mentor too.
HOW MANY MENTORS OR MENTEES CAN I GET?
Please only ask one person at a time to mentor you. However, if you have time to mentor more than one person at a time, you’re very welcome to have several mentees.
HAVE I GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A MENTOR?
If you have any professional experience in the performing arts, you can mentor someone. You only have to be a friendly ear and share your experience.
BUT I’VE NEVER BEEN A TEACHER
You don’t need to have the solutions, you just need to listen and share your experience if relevant.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
It is for the mentor/mentee pair to decide how long and how often the meetings are. I would recommend a monthly meet up, it could be a coffee and a chat or it could be going to see a show and introduce them to other people. The minimum time you need to be able to spare is 1 hour/month
BUT I DON’T HAVE TIME
No one does. But could you spare an hour chat every month with your mentee? If someone approaches you to be their mentor, just make it clear that you won’t be able to spend more than an hour a month.
HOW SHOULD I PICK A MENTOR?
Pick someone who’s got what you want and who you feel comfortable with. Do you admire their work? Do you like their positive attitude? Do you like that they’re always chilled?
WHAT’S IN IT FOR A MENTOR
Mentoring someone is a great way to learn yourself. It forces you to articulate things you might be doing instinctively which reinforces your learning. It also opens up new perspectives and new networks. It can also be very fulfilling to get a sense of giving back.
IS IT SAFE?
Sadly we can’t guarantee that and you will have to use the same judgment you use for any other social interaction. However, we’ve put up the following system in place:

IS IT SAFE?
Sadly we can’t guarantee that and you will have to use the same judgment you use for any other social interaction. However, we’ve put up the following system in place:
- Mentees ask the PACT producer (Estelle) who they would like to work with and we pass on their contact details to the mentor of their choice if the mentor agrees to mentor them.
- You don’t have to accept anyone. You don’t have to meet anyone you don’t want to or do anything you’re not comfortable with and you can decide to terminate the mentor/mentee relationship at any point.
- You both decide where to meet, we would recommend meeting in a public place.
