Kent Poetry - Sam Rapp and Alex Vellis
Alex Vellis is an award winning poet, published author, journalist, and playwright from Canterbury, Kent. Alex's writing draws on the ideas of love, loss, and feeling lost; of family matters, sex, gender identity and hope. He was the 2015 Wise Words Grand Slam champion, and has since gone on to set up his own slams across the county, in addition to running the ‘poet in residence’ scheme with the “Rough Cut Collective” in Canterbury.
Sam Rapp is dyslexic and performs around the UK as the dyslexic poet. An award winning writer, performance poet, playwright, inspirational speaker, winner of Crisis UK poetry slam 2017 and positive about dyslexia competition 2018. Her debut collection is called Rant , dyslexic me, published by Whiskey and Beards.

Sam Slattery is a creative adventurer, having explored, and created work, across a wide range of artistic areas, from film and animation through to music and sound, which has often been informed by her lifelong passion for writing.
The Argument - Zed Zed Zed
Gig Theatre band, Zed Zed Zed, are fascinated by arguments. Also, being a husband and wife, Tom Adams and Lillian Henley, have arguments with each other quite a lot and want to learn how to do it better. Reliving five different arguments from their eleven year relationship, Tom and Lillian tell their own side to each argument. Using live music, song, storytelling and audience interaction, this is Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed meets The White Stripes via Thanet. Who will win?
