The rules of the game have changed and the arts are finding innovative ways to play in new spaces. Digital platforms offer countless possibilities to create exciting, and immediate work for our time.
Thanks to the support of Arts Council England through the National Lottery we are inviting proposals from Kent-based artists and will award commissions to a number of selected projects. We would like to hear from artists seeking to create new, online based work around the theme of ‘Back To The Future’. What is the present? How does our present shape the future? And what are the boundaries of possibility? The commissions will then be shown as part of our online CREATIVE DISTANCE Festival.
What We’re Looking For
. Creative performance-driven work that excites, provokes or just makes the world laugh a lot, that creates an impact and gets its audience keen to see more new work in the future.
New projects that understand and appropriately utilise the platform chosen to create and broadcast the work. . We are keen to hear about projects that integrate the interactive elements of online platforms, but we are open to proposals of work that don't use interactive elements.
. Maximum broadcast length of 1 hour, with no lower time limit.
. Work can be live or pre-recorded.
