Do you have an itch that needs a scratch?! We are inviting performers, makers and entertainers to perform extracts of work in progress to a public audience at scratch-a-round as part of Theatre Royal Margate's Roundabout Festival.
Proposals are welcome from artists/performers and companies across all art forms including music, dance, theatre and cabaret. The work can be at any stage of development - the only stipulation is that it is presently untested. Successful candidates will benefit from directorial, production and technical support from the Looping the Loop team towards a 15 mins scratch presentation.
Rehearsals: Friday, Sept 22 (times TBC) and Saturday, Sept 23, 10am - Noon
Show + Q&A: Sunday, September 24, 5.30pm – 7pm.
Artist-maker required to be part of Kid Carpet and Vic Llewllyn's 'Castle Builder'.
This smash-hit success of the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe spirals outwards from personal accounts into tales of outsider artists who’ve been inspired to build gigantic extraordinary structures, alone, in secret, and without artistic validation from the real world.
Each show involves the participation of a local artist who creates a structure during the performance.
The performance takes place at Theatre Royal Margate on Saturday November 18. See previous artist collaborators here. Email an expression of interest here: firstname.lastname@example.org
