Looping the Loop was set up in 2012 by a consortia of producers based in Thanet.
We make festivals, create and support performance projects and pop up with our street theatre actors in unexpected places around the Isle of Thanet bringing laughter and mayhem, joy and belonging.
We are proud to be part of Battersea Arts Centre’s Collaborative Touring Network, a partnership between nine towns and theatre promoters across the UK.
In the last eight years, Looping the Loop has welcomed thousands of audience members to shows they would never have seen in spaces they would never believe, supported local performers and companies to create shows they might never have conceived in ways they might never have considered and given hundreds of young people the chance to take part in arts activities they would never had the opportunity to attend.
Together with YOU, our audience, we have eaten fish and chips in church halls, danced with our daughters, beatboxed, gone to space in a caravan, built the scenery for a show during the show, become part of an operatic flashmob, lain on hospital beds wearing headphones and watched highly acclaimed national touring companies in our local community centres, church halls, empty shops, parks and the odd theatre.
We'd love you to join us at a show, take part in our activities or just get in touch soon.

Collaborative Touring Network is supported by Arts Council England and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and is part of Battersea Arts Centre’s Take Out, which enables audiences far beyond Battersea to share in a discovery of tomorrow’s theatre. The Take Out programme launched in August 2011 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, since then Battersea Arts Centre has brought Take Out work to over 40 festivals and venues across the UK, including Latitude, Dublin Theatre Festival and Southbank Centre.
